In addition to our above special events we offer two types of farm to table experiences to suit your needs. If you have a group of people interested in creating magic with us we'd love to collaborate. More details will follow below. We look forward to hearing from you !

OPTION 1

PERMACULTURE SITE TOUR FOLLOWED BY AN IMMERSIVE FARM TO TABLE LUNCH

You will be welcomed with a permaculture site tour of the land and its gardens, showcasing all of our ongoing projects which include our educational projects, a peek at our beautiful cob oven and natural buildings, demonstrations of organic farming techniques and much more. We will show you around our biointensive market garden that keeps us healthy, explore the forest garden with all its riches and take a look at our creative mandala garden.
In a hands-on experience you will see which seasonal veggies grow in our bioregion and gain a deeper connection to nature and the food you will be eating through touching the soil and together harvesting its bounties. Creativity and community living will also be explored and expressed through together preparing and presenting a meal using the veggies you harvested.

OPTION 2

YOUR FARM TO TABLE DINNER FOLLOWED BY LIVE MUSIC

Invite your friends to a unique farm setting to enjoy the food we love to grow paired with Portuguese wine from our partner's vineyard. Depending on the size of the group, you will dine in our atmospheric glass-house, our cozy kitchen or our lovely zen house.
We begin by discovering Terra Alta on a site tour, presenting our projects and gardens in order for you to fully enjoy the setting this place has to offer. A nourishing three-course meal will be served, awakening your taste buds with the real flavour of our organically grown vegetables. After sharing stories and delicious food, magic will be bought to you by one of our local musicians while we sit together under the stars around a warming fire.

ABOUT THE LOCATION

Terra Alta is an off-the-grid Permaculture site that's part of the Global Ecovillage Network, where students and visitors alike get to see all 12 Principles of Permaculture in action. It’s located in between Almoçageme and Ulgueira, two quaint sea-side villages with easy access to amazing beaches and is relatively simple to reach from Lisbon and Sintra.
